Managing Director, Simon Venture Group
Natalie leads investing at Simon Venture Group (SVG), where she specializes in next gen commerce as well as the retail technologies that power or optimize those consumer experiences. SVG is the venture capital affiliate of Simon Property Group (SPG), an S&P 100 company as well as the largest publicly traded real estate investment trust in the S&P 500 with CB Insights recently recognizing the fund as one of the 10 most active investors in retail technology. SVG can serve as a unique investment partner to founders by leveraging Simon's operational platform and access to market distribution channels to impact the slope and velocity of their success while supporting their continued creative and shareholder control. This service proposition resonates with founders who are looking for a partner that can strategically amplify their abilities to create value and capitalize on unfair market advantage.
A few of her representative investments include FabFitFun, MeUndies, Grailed, Dirty Lemon, MM Lafleur, Bandier and Sproutling (acquired by Mattel). She was most recently named to Global Corporate Venturing's List of Rising Stars for 2016. Prior to SVG, Natalie was an executive at The Blackstone Group (Blackstone) where she was involved with the firm's seeding platform for investing in early stage alternative asset management businesses. Prior to Blackstone, Natalie was an associate within the private equity practice of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. Natalie graduated from Duke University with degrees in Public Policy Studies as well as Economics and holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
