Ms. Weiss has had a thirty year career in senior leadership with some of the world’s foremost retailers. She is the founder of The O Alliance, LLC and CEO of Retail Consulting Inc., a global consulting practice focused on the retail, e-commerce and consumer sector. Her work is known for its thought provoking leadership and customer-centric approach.

As part of her practice work, Ms. Weiss has provided both consulting services, operating expertise, and has the unique ability to step into a business as a “C”- level executive. In this role, she has been part of the re-invention of the luxury department store, Palacio de Hierro (Mexico City), led the turnaround of a Canadian retailer and acted as chairman of Grupo Cortefiel, a major Spanish retailer, which operates stores in more than 60 countries. Ms. Weiss is also an advisor to a number of early stage e-commerce and digital businesses, as well as leading private equity firms.

Prior to establishing her own consulting business, Ms. Weiss was President of the multi-channel teen retailer, dELiA*s ,  President of GUESS, and Executive Vice President, Chief Stores Officer of L Brands, where she was responsible for more than 5800 stores−across a 10 brand portfolio. Earlier in her career, she was Senior Vice President at ANN TAYLOR  and  Director of Merchandising for The Walt Disney Company.

Ms. Weiss holds a Masters of Administrative Science from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts  from Virginia Commonwealth University. She also completed post-graduate studies at Harvard Business School and The Kellogg School at Northwestern University.

In addition to her consulting practice, Ms. Weiss acts as advisor to global software giant, SAP, as a member of the North American Executive Advisory Board and as an advisor to TYCO Retail Solutions.  She is a member of several public boards including:  Chico’s, Cracker Barrel, and Nutrisystems. Previously, Ms. Weiss served on the board of GSI Commerce, Brookstone, Pep Boys and eDiets.  Ms. Weiss is also a trustee of Hampton University since 1998.

She has been a frequent speaker for leading industry conferences, including National Retail Federation, World Retail Congress, Shop.org, and International Council of Shopping Centers and at major consumer investment conferences. Ms. Weiss has a long list of honors, starting early in her career, when she was honored by Crain’s New York as one of “40 Under 40” while in in her 30’s. In 2016, Ms. Weiss was honored by the National Association of Corporate Directors as one of America’s Top 100 Board Members.
